Tom Stoner Participates in ARTBA P3 Transportation Conference

During the recently held 32nd Annual Public Private Partnerships (P3) in Transportation Conference, Lochner’s Tom Stoner, PE, participated in the panel, “P3 ‘Futurists’ Look Ahead.” The conference was held by the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) as a virtual event and was attended by more than 200 participants. Tom is a senior project manager in Lochner’s Tampa office, a current board member of ARTBA, and a past president of ARTBA’s P3 Division. He was also on this year’s conference planning committee. Lochner was a bronze sponsor for the event.

Tom along with fellow panelists—Charlie Kilpatrick from Lane Construction, David Spector from KPMG, and Chuck Wall from Seyfarth Shaw LLP—discussed what the next two years may look like for the transportation industry under the potential impacts of COVID-19. Moderated by Sia Kusha from Plenary Group, the panel topics included the possibility of a robust infrastructure funding act and the items needed for inclusion to make the bill industry ready; the ways in which the industry can best advocate for a post-pandemic leveraging of private equity/financing to boost transportation activities; and the benefits of developer-led projects.
